Dondup- SS17

The baseball jacket – lovely example of this style I really like the little touches such as the contrast colour slits to the pockets and also the stripe of green down the centre of the sleeves. The colouring is beautiful such a great shade of green mixed with that stone on the ribs the jacket works perfectly. The shade on shade with the jeans and top is balanced well.

The shirt jacket – I love a good shirt jacket I’ve had many in my wardrobe and the colour I always seem to go for? Simple Khaki – the is a lovely version of the shirt jacket, I love the patch pockets with flaps and my favourite detail the epaulettes. The styling is interesting as the sleeves have been rolled up allowing the sleeves of that fantastic stripe jumper to be seen. Worn with simple black jeans.

Another shirt jacket this time with a little more attitude. The khaki is such more military then the softer version before. The buttons are a real feature. The classic rip jeans are just the right wash for this look. The styling is just right for this season as the shirt jacket has been tucked in and we’ve seen that look in many of this seasons show.

There are many people who believe that double denim should only be dark denim but I don’t believe that to be true at all. This light wash is lovely. The jacket is particularly well styled with the grandad collar and the added touch of wool.

Double denim done with a selvage denim, loving that dark denim and the turn up always finishes of any selvage jeans. This version of the western jacket has been reworked, the single pocket is very angular and the classic double stitch detail is fantastic. Also note the small narrow collars.

I love my knitwear as you know and this textured knit is lovely. The jeans with the worn areas and that wash is fantastic with the bright red. It’s the use of the tuck in that is really something to consider in the the new season, I don’t think it will work with every outfit but it’s something to play around with.

A wonderful lightweight denim suit, now this is something I would want in my own wardrobe. Two button single breasted blazer, lovely soft tailoring with that slouched shoulder, not too narrow around the waist and great patch pockets. The bottoms again styled soft and easy. Loving the turn ups.

Dondup SS17 – the is a wonderful softness in the tailoring and shape throughout this collection, very simple but well styled outfits. Beautiful palette of colours. I really like the tucked in styles, the shirt jackets and the denim suit is to die for. This is a collection that could be easily over looked yet is actually a real standout show.
