Emporio Armani – SS17

The finger print and if you have an iPhone you already know that your finger print  has now become the key to open its little tiles for you play with. So why not celebrate its beauty. This is a lovely tee, it’s a great print and I’d like to think it’s the finger print of Mr Armani himself. I liked the grandad collar style as well almost makes the tee formal. Lovely relaxed tailoring as you’d might expect from Armani with the suit itself. The fabric has a wonderful texture that almost makes it look like paper.

The denim jeans and blazer look is now a stable in all mens wardrobe so why not add a little something else into the mix. It’s not the first collection to show embroidery on its denim this season but this version is more subtle then the rest with it’s tone on tone colouring. The navy follows through to the rest of the outfit with that wonderful textured blazer and the deep navy in  what seems to be a baseball shirt (it’s a shame we can’t see more of it).

I love the cut of this four button double breasted jacket. The shawl collars which are wonderfully narrow look fantastic. The shiny two tone effect of the fabric is sharpe;y contrasted with the matte navy cotton of the trousers also the cut of the trouser is wide and straight. Again the navy on navy works well together.

Sports luxe is another growth area in Menswear and the use of none traditional fabrics push the boundaries further. This lightweight dark chambray denim works particularly well in this hoodie and matching bottoms. Note the fly front on the hoodie and the drawstring on the trousers. The overcoat in that dark dark midnight blue is a wonderfully addition to this whole look and styled in a way to give the appearance of a cape, a must have item for any superhero outfit.

I’ve ways loved denim blazers and actually they are difficult to find. This is is beautiful especially with those dark blue collars. The trousers are wide around the waist and hips, the deep single pleat then help to taper down the leg to the ankle. The shirt has a rugged quality about it with that big zip going straight down the front of it. I especially like those collars I the contrast colour.

A wonderful combination of leather and suede, again not usually shown together on the same garment but contrasting textures seems to be a theme in this collection. The jacket itself like the ones before have a fly front to hide all the press stud fastening and the collars are neat and narrow. The trousers are elasticated at the hem which brings them inline with the sports luxe influence.

The shirt jacket usually designed and influence from a military stand. This lightweight version is a little bit different with its high collars and again the fly front to hide the zip. The trousers have a lovely detail of a printed turn up. The leather jacket is beautiful I love the raw edges and the zip detail.

More sports luxe the hoodie in a textured printed fabric, wonderful colouring. The trousers are cut narrow and I like the drawstring detail.

Wonderful graphics used on the tee shirt and also the same print used on the jacket. I love the bright red cardigan. The trousers are in line with the rest of the collection with the drawstring tie.

Amazing knitted blazer, my favourite item from the whole collection. I really love those collars or rather lack of. The shirt is lovely with those narrow collars and the trouser work really well with this whole look.

The knitted tee which there should be more of in the high street, I’m a huge fan. The pattern is just right for such a style. Those oversized trousers with the fly front detail are a great contrast in shape.

The bomber jacket as shown in all the collections this one has been done with a fantastic print, using gorgeous colours. Such a fantastic statement piece.

A fantastic version of a sleeveless shirt and I especially love the fastening to one side and the high collars such a wonderful look.

Emporio Armani SS17 – A wonderful collection of relaxed, luxury and soft tailoring. The sport luxe influence shown well throughout. I love the knitwear, the textures and the colours. The jackets have a simplicity about them, the fabrics used don’t need the garment to be over designed. The denim is lightweight but has a rich dark colour and that whole tonal navy is beautiful. If you are looking for the very best in luxury then this is a great collection to chose from.
