Visvim – SS17

Visvim – SS17
A wonderful soft tailored collection. Fantastic jackets, gorgeous kimono style in great fabrics and even a leopard print. The jeans are simple in there cut and dye, turn ups always add to the style when worn. Loving the soft drape wide trousers with a simple sweatshirt. The graphics used in the shirts and sweatshirts don’t overpower the outfits they are just simple – The whole styling reminded me of Mexican peasants in those great spaghetti westerns of the 60’s. The colours used are beautiful for that salmon pink is the standout colour and something I will be adding to my wardrobe.

Raf Simons – SS17

Raf Simons – SS17
A very interesting collection. Really easy and simple styling, the portions were oversized even when the lengths were cropped. That huge oversized boat neck knit was my absolute favourite and I hope to see something similar on the high street. The colours used as the base were classic black, white, cream khaki and then for contrast the cobalt blue, red and even that lovely slate grey works really well. This is a collection I know I will go back to because I will see something new each time.

Fausto Puglisi – SS17

Fausto Puglisi – SS17
Embellishments, patches, badges, leather, denim, florals, gladiators – some elements anyone would describe as feminine in nature yet without doubt this collection is masculine – just look at the models used and their stance as they wear these outfits – these are warriors, they wear bright colours, florals and add little gold trinkets to their clothes to make sure everyone sees them – a wonderfully put together collection and one full of interesting ideas and design. I love adding patches and badges to my own outfits – I love the big bold prints and the use of colour. Please check out the full collection you will not be disappointed – truly wonderful work.

Gosha Rubchinskiy – SS17

Gosha Rubchinskiy – SS17
Sportswear chic with some great old school brands Fila, Sergio Tacchini, Kappa – brands that were the stable of Eighties body poppers and breakdancers. Loving the oversize styling, dolman sleeves and bold stripes. Interesting looks which done well will translate well onto the high street.

Brunello Cucielli – SS17

Brunello Cucielli – SS17
A very sophisticated and well put together collection. Beautiful soft tailored suits, sports lux, utility and also a stunning wine coloured biker jacket. I love the double jacket styling, the sweatshirts and jackets wrapped around your waist. The colouring is the real stand out factor in this collection beautiful earthy tones, stones, brown and khaki and then that deep wine colour, my absolute favourite Navy and the grey which is the tread that holds the outfits together. This collection is simply one of the most beautifully worked collections this season.

Belstaff – SS17

Belstaff – SS17
Sports lux trend continues within many collections although the sport this collection is based on just happens to be motorcross- I love the retro feel that runs through the outfits as a huge fan of Evel Knievel myself the leather jackets really appeal to me. The leather is shown to be really versatile when used in a wonderful colour blocked lace up top a real stand out garment. Beautiful work and a real manly collection.

Pringle of Scotland – SS17

Pringle of Scotland – SS17
This collection is lovely, simple yet sophisticated. Great colours and stripes used throughout. I like the way the shirt sleeves are slightly longer and sit just past the wrist. The narrow trouser are worn high on the waist with a narrow leg, a larger width turn up which in turn makes them cropped in length. Another styling tip for this season is the use of the tuck in, whether shirts or jumpers everything is tucked in at the waist which elongates your legs, it’s a styling that I will play around with when I put together my own outfits. All in all a wonderfully stylish collection.

Alexander McQueen – SS17

Alexander McQueen – SS17
Wonderfully tailored collection – lots of amazing suits, trimmed with gold embroidery – the luxe sports influence shown with the same trim being used down the side of the trousers. An again thread runs through this collection and one of my favourite pieces is the frill front grandad shirt that’s shown throughout which is so versatile in its styling. You just can deny the beauty in these outfits.
